Chris Knox is a talented, highly regarded attorney based in Dallas, Texas. Chris began his legal career working as a prosecutor for the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office where he tried countless jury trials. After amassing a perfect trial record, Chris left the DA’s Office in 2009 and started The Knox Firm. Chris Knox quickly gained a reputation as a “go to” lawyer while representing clients in both state and federal court, as well as clients dealing with complex legal issues. In addition to the experience in the courtroom, The Knox Firm also represents clients on healthcare compliance issues, and licensing and administrative hearings, as well as businesses and schools conducting internal investigations.

Chris Knox and The Knox Firm have represented defendants in some of the most high-profile, high-stakes prosecutions in federal and state court, including Dallas County Commissioner John Wiley Price when he was acquitted on all counts tried to a verdict. Mr. Knox also represented one of the physicians charged in the Forest Park Hospital prosecution and was able to get the charges dismissed prior to trial.

Chris attended the University of Texas at Austin where he majored in History with a focus on African American Cultural Studies before returning to the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex and earning a law degree. He often lectures on topics such as trial preparation, cross-examination, and digital discovery, including at the State Bar of Texas Advanced Criminal Law Seminar.

HEATHER MALONE
Associate
Heather Malone began her career working as an assistant at The Knox Firm when she was 18 years old. While working as a legal assistant for Chris Knox, Heather enrolled in evening courses through the Dallas County Community College system before eventually transferring to the University of Texas at Dallas. Heather was named to the Dean's List multiple semesters at UTD, where she graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Historical Studies.

After earning her undergraduate degree, Heather continued to work at The Knox Firm while attending the night school program at UNT Dallas College of Law, where she earned her JD degree.
Heather has played a significant part in many of the Knox Firm's successes; she is a fierce advocate and an invaluable asset to the firm. She is licensed in Texas and is admitted to the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas. She is also a member of the Judge Sarah T. Hughes Federal Criminal Practice Inn of Court.
